What is dry ice blasting
(cryogenic cleaning)?

Dry ice blasting is also known as cryogenic cleaning or CO₂ blasting. Solid carbon dioxide particles are accelerated with compressed air and directed at the surface to be cleaned.

CRYO’geni uses the process on industrial equipment where a dry method, controlled settings and reduced secondary waste are valuable.

It may look similar to sandblasting from a distance, but the blasting media behaves very differently: dry ice sublimates after impact instead of remaining on the surface as abrasive grit.

What to know before an intervention

What is dry ice cleaning?

The process projects dry ice pellets with compressed air. Impact, thermal effects and CO₂ sublimation help loosen many types of deposits without adding water to the cleaning process.

Can dry ice blasting be used on sensitive equipment?
